Want to serve on Glencoe Dist. 35 School Board?

Time is running out to apply for a position on the Glencoe School District 35 school board.

Board member James Chavin gave his resignation earlier this month after telling the Board that he would be relocating to Germany.

The Board of Education is currently accepting applications through Jan. 27 and will conduct interviews to fill the vacancy. The individual selected would serve as a member of the Board of Education until the April 9, 2013 elections. The

Board is expected to take action to fill the vacancy at the regular monthly meeting scheduled for Feb. 13 and the appointee would begin serving as a Board of Education Member at that meeting.

Applications can be downloaded frm the school district web site www.glencoeschools.org or copies are available at the Board of Education Office and offices of each school.
