To honor the 100th anniversary of Hadassah, its North Shore Chapter sponsored a Centennial 3K Walkathon at Wood Oaks Green Park June 24.
There were 70 walkers and many others cheering on the walkers. $6,000 was raised at the inaugural event.
Since 1912, Hadassah has pioneered the advancement of medicine in Israel and has sustained and supported the most modern, sophisticated medical treatment, technology, research and education in the Middle East.
The event was sponsored by Hadassah Resale Shop, Highland Park; Dermedica - Innovative Dermatology; Shalom Memorial Funeral Home/Memorial Park; Ken’s Quick Print, Inc., Highland Park and Elegance in Meats Butcher-Baker-Deli Maker-Catering, Northbrook.
