1. “The Bluest Eye,” based on the novel by Toni Morrison, will be presented at 8 p.m. Jan. 27-28 and Feb. 3-4; 2 p.m. Jan. 29 and Feb. 5; and 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at Northwestern University’s Josephine Louis Theater, 20 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston. 4. “F for Fake” (Orson Welles, 1973) will be screened at 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at Block Cinema, in the Pick-Laudati Auditorium at the Block Museum of Art, Northwestern University, 40 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston. The film weaves together notorious art forger Elmyr de Hory, fake Howard Hughes biographer Clifford Irving, the War of the Worlds radio hoax, and even a mythic Picasso heist, into a rumination on art and human purpose.
