Chamber: Get ready to Go Glencoe in June
Updated: July 3, 2012 10:19AM
June is right up there with the holiday season when it comes to activities and events. And here’s what the Chamber has planned for you.
Start off with Movies on the Green at dusk on Wyman Green and bring the family to see “The Muppets” June 8.
The next day, June 9, be sure to check out the Farmer’s Market from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at its new location in the Metra Commuter Parking Lot near the northeast corner of Green Bay Road and Park Avenue. You’ll find your favorite vendors returning and some new ones, as well. The Market will run through Oct. 27.
Next on the agenda is the Sidewalk Sale, to take place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 29 and 30.
Glencoe merchants, joined by vendors from other communities, will have tables on Park and Vernon Avenues loaded with attractive merchandise at enticing prices.
Adding to the mix are the graduations, weddings, showers, parties, Father’s Day and birthdays that happen in June. Glencoe is the place to go for all these occasions, too. You’ll find the invitations, gifts, outfits, groceries, catering, photography, flowers, wine and balloons that you need for these celebrations.
