Glencoe police blotter for June 7, 2012

Updated: August 21, 2012 11:10AM

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Glencoe Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. All court appearances are at the courthouse at 5600 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, unless otherwise noted.

BURGLARY

The restaurant in the village-owned Glencoe Country Club, 621 Wesley Road, was reported burglarized early Sunday morning. The safe was damaged, and an as-yet undetermined amount of money missing. The doors were still locked, and two windows were unlocked, but closed, according to police reports.

Glencoe Police ticketed six people at around 11:45 the night of May 29, citing them for being on Glencoe Beach after hours. Ellen Gow, 19, 4 Hampton Lane, Hawthorn Woods; Erica Lange, 19, 30 Berkshire Lane, Lincolnshire; Megan Buskley, 20, 249 Old Creek Road, Vernon Hills; Maxwell Rabkin, 20, 4109 Highland Ave., Arlington Heights; Jonathan Gien, 25, 725 Sarah Lane, Northbrook; and Florije Serzina, 22, 1 Half Day Road, Lincolnshire, were cited for trespassing, but not drinking on the beach, or underage drinking, though beer was found on the scene. A case of 312 Urban Wheat Ale was confiscated and destroyed, according to police.

TRAFFIC

At least two people were ticketed on Sheridan Road last weekend where traffic is confined to northbound only while water main work is under way. Police said both Tarcelo D. Tamanio, 42, of 36079 N. Grandwood Drive, Gurnee, and Omar Murilla, 21, of 2621 N. Walnut Ave., Mundelein, continued southbound Saturday anyway. A report said Tamanio explained “she had a job to do in a limited amount of time.”
